18th Century British Literature, Satire, Southwest American Literature, Literature of the Bible, Rhetoric and Composition (especially, Rhetoric of the Personal Letter).

Utilizing personal letters pedagogically, I explore satire from Jonah to Doonesbury, examine the literary culture of the American Southwest, try to make Major British Writers engaging, and view teaching as a profession of encouragement (a vocation, not merely a career).
